Well If you really want to be sure you got a Jasper you would have to open it up to see the new GPU

Power consumption on the unit itself is 14.2A, identical to Falcon. I'd assume this is a Falcon until proven otherwise.

Thanks for actually posting pics.

Im thinking the same now. Power = Volts X Amps
12v x 14.2 = 170w

Yes, but newer ones have 175 W - my old Elite (before it got stolen by UPS) was 175 W and I bought it in March.

Right, got my plugin power meter out today. Using 3 watts during standby, 88w on the dashboard and 120-125W during gameplay. Any Falcon users got a meter so I can look at the difference. Still don't know which version I have got, but I am not that keen on opening up the box to look! Seemed to run quite cool to me, but not owned a 360 before so not able to compare.

That's a Falcon. FDOU was the team responsible for the most recent Falcon chipsets. Not Jasper.

Falcon power numbers:

Looks like that's a Falcon most likely. 175W would be the peak power draw if all chips were being fully utilized...something that's not too common.

Which GAME did you get this from? Thanks

Yer I reckon it's a falcon, though I have to admit I don't have a clue about any of this, but just wanted to get a bit of practice in as a knowledgable guesser as everyone seems to be at it these days.

Jokes aside I nearly ventured out into the rain this morning to get an xbox from game myself but after doing some research re this put it on hold. That said I will happily open mine up as I want to flash the dvd, I don't really play games but like playing with hardware.
