I have opened this up. I can confirm it is the new jasper/casper board with a Lite-On drive.

Interesting! Do you have any photos or something? I'm really eager to get a Jasper 360. Thanks

Hi, Just some more information for you. I am trying to get some photos sorted out. The power supply actually is a 175W which I was not expecting. However the motherboard does look very different from my housemates Falcon board. The GPU heatsink is, I believe, similar to the launch model (flat, no extra heat pipe). The CPU heatsink is the same as the Falcon.
As I have stated - the drive is a Lite-On.
I made sure to visit a store in an affluent area due to more fluid stock movements (Maidstone in Kent) and the new systems had arrived in this morning.

Is it nice and quiet? (well, quieter than the old ones - I'm not expecting miracles!)

It is a bit quieter than my housemates Falcon (but not too different to be honest). Pics are coming very shortly.

I'll believe it's Jasper/Casper when I see pics of the mobo. What you describe sounds very very promising though.

All indications so far have been that Jasper manufacturing did not begin until late August. I'm skeptical.

I am calling BS on this, more then likely you have a modified Falcon which moves the RAM. Benheck documented this so you should check his site out, if your looks like that it is not Jasper.

Unless you have pictures that say otherwise, this is a Falcon and lot number is a set of lot numbers given to 360s after they make em. Lots will have the same chips, motherboard, etc.

1.) What color are your FANS on the back?

-Are they all BLACK?
-or do they say DC BRUSHLESS?

2.) What color are your housemates FANS?
